Let’s face it: even if we’re not in the market to buy or sell a home ourselves, we love looking at other people’s houses.  So much so that we watch countless shows about it – whether people are buying, selling, renovating or renting, we love to see what other others look for in a new home, how they decorate it or how they’re going to sell it.  If you’re due for some real estate or decorating inspiration, definitely check out the Denver Parade of Homes, which runs from August 7 through Labor Day.   If you’re selling, this is a great (and free!) way to check out new decorating or design ideas before you put your home on the market.  If you’re planning on buying soon, then you’re luck too – all of the properties on the Parade of Homes tour are for sale.  And if you’re just interested in checking out some of the coolest properties in Denver, you’ll be in good company.

Last year over 100,000 people attended the parade of homes and experts expect numbers to climb in 2014.  Since a variety of homes are included on the tour, attendees can see a range of upgrades and design tips for all kinds of spaces and budgets.
Over 70 home locations will be spread throughout the greater Denver metro area, from Loveland to Castle Rock, and as far west as Central City to eastern Aurora.  Homes range in price from $200,000 to $1,000,000.

The Parade of Homes is presented by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, who say they’re excited about the fact that Denver’s home buying market is recovering, as well as the great diversity of product for people looking for a home.

To get the most out of the Parade of Homes tour, check out the event’s website where you can get a sneak peek of all the homes included and tailor your tour experience to include everything you want to see.
