St. Anthony Redevelopment Getting the “Sloans” Treatment
If you’ve been keeping an eye on up and coming neighborhoods in the Denver-metro area, no doubt Sloans Lake has been on your list to watch.
Redevelopment and rebranding in the area is gaining momentum as developers recently announced that construction of projects for the original seven-block site is anticipated to begin by the end of the year, with the first three projects all but complete already.
Here’s a rundown of new places you can plan on checking out in this exciting neighborhood!
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Located at West Colfax Avenue at Stuart Street and could open by late first quarter 2017.
Starbucks – located in the recently completed retail at West Colfax Avenue and Raleigh Street. Keep an eye on this location as other retailers are expected to be announced soon!
Housing is also coming to the developing area, with ground breaking on the horizon for a 12-story condo tower at West 17th Avenue and Stuart. The tower will feature 193 for-sale condos and 13 street-level "row homes," in addition to ground-floor retail.
Just a block to the east, construction plans are in the works for a new seven-story apartment community that will include about 250 apartments and 7,000 square feet of potential ground-floor retail.
