As the neighborhoods in close proximity to Denver are becoming more crowded and pricey, would-be buyers are flocking further from the city to check out up and coming areas where prices may be a
Trailside Development Opens In North Thornton
With a variety of new shopping and dining options and easy commuter access, it’s no wonder North Thornton is becoming a popular area for buyers. While the pickings in Denver may be slim, the new Trailside community aims to alleviate some of the pressure. The new community by KB Homes is located at York Street north of 144th Avenue and features a variety of new ranch and two-stories from the $400s. At the heart of it all is a 5-acre park for residents to enjoy.
Developers say buyers are attracted to the area by the favorable commute to employer campuses along U.S. 36 as well as DIA. They’re also finding prices in Thornton that are much lower than in Broomfield and Boulder County. In addition to new residents, Trailside is also attracting buyers coming out of existing Thornton neighborhoods — many of whom have lived in older houses for decades, waiting for a moment like this to sell.
A bustling community with lots to do, Trailside is close to the Larkridge shopping center as well as the Orchards Town Center and the new St. Anthony hospital.
Addressing a particular demand for one-story properties, ranch buyers have lots to choose from at Trailside. There are single-level homes in three different collections, including a Patio Collection where homes back to a greenbelt or a trail corridor. There are also two-bedroom ranches, to a five-bedroom, 4-1/2 bath plan that has a three-car garage and finished basement space.
For buyers looking to purchase and move in before the summer, Trailside has units available now. For those who have a little more time to work with, they also offer build-to-order options.
